Welcome to AL HUDA ("we", "our", or "the App"), developed by Salman Brohi. AL HUDA is an Islamic companion application designed to facilitate your daily worship, Quranic recitation, authentic Duas, accurate prayer schedules, Qibla compass orientation, and Islamic education.
This Privacy Policy describes our practices regarding the processing, collection, storage, and protection of information when you use the AL HUDA mobile application packaged for Android devices via the Median platform.
Our Core Privacy Commitment: AL HUDA is built with respect and dignity for every user. We do not sell your personal data. We do not rent or monetize your spiritual worship routines. We collect only the minimal data strictly necessary to provide authentic, responsive Islamic features.

Depending on your interaction with AL HUDA, the application may process the following categories of information:
3 Account and Authentication Information
AL HUDA provides two primary ways to access its features:
- Guest Mode: You can use AL HUDA freely without creating an account or providing an email address. In Guest Mode, all basic Islamic features—such as Quran reading, prayer times, and Tasbih—remain accessible without collecting personal credentials.
- Email & Password Account: If you choose to create a registered account to sync your saved bookmarks, favorite Duas, or settings across sessions, we collect your email address and an encrypted credential handled directly by Firebase Authentication.
Note Regarding Google Sign-In: Google Sign-In is not implemented or available as a login method in AL HUDA. Authentication is strictly managed via email and password or guest access.
4 Location Information
AL HUDA may request permission to access your device's approximate or precise location. This permission is requested strictly for legitimate, user-initiated religious and educational purposes:
- Local Prayer Times: Calculating accurate astronomical prayer times (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha) based on your geographic coordinates.
- Qibla Direction: Calculating the exact heading towards the Holy Kaaba in Makkah al-Mukarramah relative to your current location.
- Local Weather Display: Providing basic localized weather details associated with your prayer schedule.
Your Choice: You have full control over location access. You can grant or deny location permission at any time through your Android device settings. If you decline location access, you can manually select or search for your city where supported by the application.
5 Device and Technical Information
When you run AL HUDA, the application runtime and third-party delivery services (such as OneSignal for notifications) may process standard technical information, including:
- Device model, manufacturer, and operating system version.
- Application version and build number.
- Language preferences and system time zone (to present prayer schedules in your local time).
- Network connection type (Wi-Fi or cellular) to optimize Quran audio recitation downloads and offline caching.
This technical data is used solely to maintain app stability, prevent crashes, and deliver timely reminders.
6 How We Use Information
All information collected or processed by AL HUDA is used solely to serve your spiritual journey and app experience:
- To compute accurate prayer schedules, sunrise/sunset, and Islamic calendar (Hijri) dates.
- To deliver optional Azan audio reminders and Islamic notification alerts chosen by the user.
- To persist your bookmarks, reading progress in the Holy Quran, and Tasbih counts.
- To verify your authenticated session if you log in with your email account.
- To respond promptly to user support, inquiry, or data deletion requests.
7 Prayer Times, Weather and Location-Based Features
Islamic prayer calculations require geographic latitude, longitude, and timezone information. When you use prayer or weather features:
- Location coordinates are calculated on-device or queried against trusted Islamic prayer calculation algorithms.
- If localized weather information is retrieved, your approximate city or coordinates may be transmitted to an external weather service/API solely to retrieve current temperature and weather conditions.
- No personal identifiers, email addresses, or user profiles are ever attached to location or weather queries.
8 Notifications and Azan Reminders
AL HUDA offers timely notifications to remind users of incoming prayer times, daily Duas, and Islamic occasions.
- Notification Permissions: On Android devices (particularly Android 13 and above), AL HUDA asks for your explicit permission before posting notifications.
- Notification Delivery: We may use OneSignal or Firebase Cloud Messaging to facilitate the delivery of push reminders. A unique, pseudonymized device token is generated to route alerts to your device.
- No Commercial Notification Spam: Push notifications are never used for third-party commercial advertisements. They are solely dedicated to your Islamic worship reminders.
- User Control: You can customize or disable notifications at any time either within the App's settings or directly through your Android System Notification settings.
9 Quran, Audio and Islamic Content
The Holy Quran texts, translations, audio recitations by renowned Qaris, authentic Duas, Tasbih dhikr, and Islamic general knowledge educational content are delivered to enhance your learning and reflection:
- Audio recitations are streamed or cached locally to enable smooth listening without buffering.
- Your reading progress, Surah bookmarks, and favorite Duas are stored in your device's local memory or synced to your account database for your convenience.
- No audio is recorded through your device. AL HUDA does not access or require your device's microphone or camera.
10 Third-Party Services
To ensure reliable performance, secure authentication, and timely notifications, AL HUDA utilizes a minimal set of established third-party services:
Each of these service providers maintains strict industry-standard security and confidentiality agreements and processes information only as instructed to execute their designated functionality.
11 Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, trade, or distribute your personal data to data brokers, advertising networks, or third-party marketing firms under any circumstances.
We may disclose information only under the following limited circumstances:
- Service Fulfillment: To third-party infrastructure providers (e.g., Firebase Authentication, OneSignal) strictly necessary to run the app features you requested.
- Legal Compliance: If required by valid law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Safety and Rights: To protect the rights, property, or physical safety of our users, the developer, or the general public as required or permitted by law.
12 Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with the application's services:
- Guest Mode: Temporary session preferences and local bookmarks remain stored locally on your device unless you clear application storage or uninstall the app.
- Registered Accounts: Your email address and account-linked data are retained until you request account deletion.
- Push Tokens: Device push tokens are invalidated and discarded whenever you uninstall the app or disable notifications.
13 Account and Data Deletion
In strict adherence to Google Play Store User Data policies, users have the unconditional right to request the permanent deletion of their account and all associated personal data at any time.
If you have created an account in AL HUDA and wish to delete your account, email address, bookmarks, and any associated database records, you may request deletion using either of the following methods:
- In-App Deletion: If you are signed in, navigate to your Profile screen within the AL HUDA application, select Delete Account, and confirm your request.

Upon receiving your request, your account credentials and any user-associated cloud records will be permanently deleted from our authentication and database systems within 30 days, without retaining backups of your personal profile.
14 Data Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Network communications utilize standard HTTPS/TLS cryptographic encryption. Authentication is safeguarded by Google Cloud's secure infrastructure.
However, please recognize that no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% impenetrable. While we strive to protect your data using industry-standard measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security against all possible security breaches. 15 Children's Privacy
AL HUDA is a general-audience Islamic educational and worship utility. We do not knowingly solicit, collect, or process personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or under the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
If you are a parent or legal guardian and discover that your child has provided us with personal information (such as an email address) without your consent, please contact us at brohi7761@gmail.com. We will promptly take steps to delete that information from our servers.
16 User Choices and Device Permissions
You have extensive control over the permissions granted to AL HUDA on your mobile device:
- Location Permission: Can be enabled or revoked at any time in Android settings. You can still access prayer times by manually setting your preferred location.
- Notification Permission: Can be toggled on or off in Android settings or inside the application settings.
- Camera & Microphone: AL HUDA does not request or require camera or microphone permissions for its core Islamic functions.
- Guest Usage: You are never forced to register an email account to read the Quran, check prayer times, or recite Duas.
17 International / Cloud Processing
To ensure low latency, high availability, and 24/7 reliability, our cloud service providers (such as Google Firebase) host servers across globally distributed data centers. Consequently, your pseudonymized account information may be processed on servers located outside of your home country or territory. These providers adhere to globally recognized data protection standards and encryption frameworks.
18 Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, new Islamic features, or legal and regulatory standards. Any revisions will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date".
